What do cookie dough, lavender and dryer sheets have in common? If you guessed those were ingredients on a Top Chef episode, well, you’re probably right.
In the hands of our next professional though, they are keys to turning an everyday “listing” into someone’s “Future Home”.
Please introduce yourself to our readers…
I am called “Mommy” by two munchkins, “Baby” by my handsome husband, and “Ashley Ditcharo” by the rest of the world.
Can you tell us what company you work for?
Keller Williams
What is your title there?
REALTOR and Professional Staging Expert
What are the exact responsibilities of your job?
1. Lead Generate
2. Lead follow up
3. Go on appointments
4. Negotiate contracts
5. Practice and Roleplay
What is it about your job that makes you love it?
When I say that I thoroughly enjoy my job, it is an understatement!
To top that, I work at Keller Williams which is the top training company across all industries; therefore, I feel knowledgeable, comfortable, and empowered to help make clients’ dreams come true. Sounds like I’m at Disney World, right? Almost! In fact if my kids need to come to work with me, they jump in my car and come with me.
Listening to others’ needs and searching diligently to fulfill those dreams is what fuels my passions.
I’m blessed to have walked into this profession; and the commission… It’s not too shabby!
What particular skills or talents are most essential to completing your tasks?
Flexible, Confident, Great Listener, Consistent, Persistent
What level of education would you say is required to perform your role?
I have a Masters degree. All you are required to have in my state is your high school diploma.
Do you find that you bring your work home with you? (And is that a good or bad thing?)
I bring my work home with me because it is an extension of who I am. I do require myself to “shut down” at a certain time each day for family and rest. The days of 9-5 in this technology-rich world is laughable!
How does this job compare to other jobs you’ve held in the past?
After teaching elementary school for three years and owning my own construction company, I walked into a profession that actually was related to my college degree: real estate!
Teaching is for a different breed. I took the job out of necessity and not out of a desire. My hat is off to educators! Construction is high stress with money and responsibilities.
Real estate is not without its stresses. Deals fall through, frustrated clients, etc., but I love the who profession and don’t mind the challenges.
What is your favorite food?
I could exist off of fruit alone!
