My name is Stuart Bracken, and I am the Co-Founder and CEO of Bioscape Digital. I live in Atlanta, love entrepreneurship, and have co-founded four separate successful companies.
Every day I strive to create and capture value while generating a positive impact on society. I truly enjoy doing everything with an entrepreneurial mindset, as it gives me the ability to constantly push innovation and the new, create jobs for people, and make wealth for society as a whole.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Information Systems and a Masters in Accounting from Wake Forest University as well as an MBA from The Goizueta Business School at Emory University. I am currently President of Goizueta’s Alumni Entrepreneurship Network and serve on the Goizueta Alumni board at Emory.
You are working on something pretty cool. Care to share a little bit about that?
Absolutely! At Bioscape we have created and continue to develop an innovative tablet-based platform called Wellness Express. Bioscape Digital’s pioneering platform enables the delivery of both relevant content and transactions in an interactive and engaging manner that is unique within the market, helping to close the gap between patient & provider and allowing to solve the current health care problems through five key value propositions: educational modules/content, real-time service recovery, physician referral management, real-time insurance eligibility and sign-up, and revenue driving services.
Bioscape Digital engages consumers with targeted healthcare content and transactions, at the ideal time and location: in the hospital. Bioscape does this by installing a customizable tablet-based platform into every room in health systems. The platform integrates text, audio, and visual imagery into an intuitive touch screen solution, creating a truly unique opportunity to engage a captive audience. As a result, hospitals experience improved patient engagement, enhanced patient satisfaction, and generate incremental revenue and cost savings.
What made you decide to follow that path?
As a young college/master program graduate, working in New York, I had an experience where my customer was doing something that I knew was inappropriate. Although technically within the lines of the law, I knew it was not creating value, but rather moving value away from one party to another.
At that moment, I realized that the best way to create value was what I loved the most, being an entrepreneur.

Do you have any partners?
Every one of our customers is a partner. It’s as simple as that. We focus on building a lasting relationship with the health systems that adopt our innovative product, and evolve around their needs and around what we think adds the most value to them and their patients.
What outcome do you hope to achieve?
We have all been to a hospital. As a result, we want to build a platform for the next time our parents, siblings, and loved ones go to a hospital. We want to impact every patient’s health experience in a positive way and help health systems provide outstanding care, all that by making healthcare more engaging and interactive.
What is your company culture like?
Bioscape Digital’s culture is one that gravitates around both responsibility and passion. Responsibility allows us to be committed to our goals and be coherent with what we say and do, while passion gives us strength to do our very best and gives us the awareness to enjoy each moment of our work. Everyone in our team always strives to add value to our customers and help the medical team and hospitals provide better care to their patients, as that is our number one goal. Additionally, we strongly believe in our company’s human talent, so we strive to add the best and smartest individuals to our team, while creating an enjoyable and challenging work environment.
Walk us through your average day:
On average I spend 50% working for my customers and 50% on my people. Without my customer and without my team I have nothing. Every day I strive to create and capture value in any and every way I can. I truly enjoy doing everything with an entrepreneurial mindset and with passion, as it allows me to feel fulfilled and be the best I can be.
What advice would you give to someone else thinking of starting their own business?
Be yourself. You can fake a perspective, attitude, or belief for short periods but not over the long term.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 things would you bring?
My child, my wife and golf clubs. If I had a fourth, my work.
